Waterproof Your Shoes

Follow these instructions to water proof your shoes:

1. Rub candle wax or anything with beeswax over the entire shoe.

2. Blow dry the shoe to melt the wax creating a thin water proof layer.

3 Stages of Water

Stage 1 : Clean water which is usually from a broke water line, but this stage can quickly turn into stage two or three if untreated.

Stage 2: is usually from toilet or dish overflow and is considered gray water.

Stage 3: water is extremely hazardous and contained with unsanitary water filled with bacteria.

Restore > Replace

At SERVPRO of Southern Trumbull County, we favor restoration over replacement. But no matter what your cleanup needs may be, you can trust that our trained professionals will get the job done.

Moisture Removal Process

After a water damage, our team utilizes special equipment to remove the moisture. There are different factors of drying the atmosphere. One factor is responsible for moving the air to promote faster drying and prevent mold from occurring. Another factor is focused on temperature control. Dehumidifiers work best in certain temperatures and controlling the temperature can also speed up the evaporation process. Call SERVPRO if a water damage occurs in your Poland, Ohio home.

Carpet Removal

Carpet damage is common after a storm or leaks within a structure. Preventative carpet damage techniques are not always successful, which leaves you with no other option but to remove the carpet. Most homeowners possess glued-down carpet which requires trained professionals to remove. Our SERVPRO team follows a certain list of procedures along with using high quality equipment and products for the removal process.

Prevent Your Wooden Furniture from Water Damage

  1. Use a damp rag to wipe down the dusty surface
  2. Take the polyurethane with a stick without shaking the can
  3. Dip one inch of the brush into the polyurethane and begin running the brush in one direction along the dresser or any other wooden furniture

Prevent Your Pipes from Causing Water Damages

Did you know that pipes usually burst because they are not being used enough? When pipes sit for days because appliances are not being used, a buildup takes place and strains the pipes. Just simply flushing a toilet or running water could relieve the strain on the pipes.
