SERVPRO’s Compassionate Team Gets the Job Done

Andrew and Linda Meeting at her front door. Each of our customers has a unique story to tell, and it is important to us that we approach each potential customer with empathy and kindness.

Here at SERVPRO of Southern Trumbull County, we encounter disasters daily. We regularly interact with people who are having emotional, difficult times, dealing with the feelings associated with the loss of one of their basic human needs – shelter. Each of our customers has a unique story to tell, and it is important to us that we approach each potential customer with empathy and kindness.

When Linda woke up to the living room of her Hubbard home flooded with outdoor water from excessive rain and snowmelt, she didn’t know what to think or where to even start. She learned that her insurance didn’t cover this type of water loss. On top of that, her husband had passed away only the month before, and she felt completely overwhelmed. After reaching out to SERVPRO, her concerns were quickly alleviated by our caring staff.

Andrew Dobson, co-owner of SERVPRO Team Dobson, was assisting during an extremely busy season, and he was the priority responder that was dispatched to Linda’s home. Andrew and Linda quickly bonded as they started chatting and learning more about one another. When Andrew found out about the incredibly recent loss of Linda’s husband, her best friend of over 50 years, he felt a strong pull in his heart to help. He felt as though he and Linda were brought together for a reason, and he knew he needed to do all that he could to help take care of her during this difficult time.

That same day, our crews started working diligently on drying and restoring Linda’s home. She was pleased with the work ethic and character of our staff, and she was relieved at how quickly we made her home whole again.

Linda’s story is a testament to how much we care about our customers and our community. We know how difficult it can be when you are dealing with a disaster, big or small. Our #1 priority is taking care of our consumers. A little compassion and understanding goes a long way, and we constantly strive to be the best people we can be and help those in need to the best of our ability.
